We kicked things off with Rock &/or Roll, our tribute to songs that sometimes refuse to commit to just one verb. The dabbers were flying, the tables were shaking, and Bobbi‑Jo — celebrating her birthday — snagged a win like she had personally negotiated the playlist with Chuck Berry. Gunther S, Dustin E, Tammy S, Eric L, and Alisha B all doubled up later in the night, proving that some people don’t just rock… they rock the room.
Then came 1980’s Part 1, which hit the crowd like a hairspray cloud drifting out of a mall salon in 1987. Gunther S kept his streak alive, Tammy S doubled down, Eric L continued showing up like a synth riff that refuses to fade, and Stephanie V moonwalked into the winner’s circle. Songs That Stutter followed — our beloved collection of “b-b-b-b-bangers.” This round always reveals who grew up on Buddy Holly, who grew up on Britney, and who just enjoys watching the host try to pronounce song titles without sounding like he’s buffering.
