The Groove – Play That Funky Bingo – Blurb from 2/5/26

The Groove – Play That Funky Bingo – Blurb from February 5

Some Wednesday nights at The Groove feel like they’ve been pre‑marinated in chaos, and this one came out sizzling. Music kicked off at 5:30, Round One hit at 6:00, and the room immediately settled into that signature mid‑week “we’re doing this” energy — half dinner party, half dance floor, all Groove.

We opened with ’60s #1s, which is always a fun social experiment: who’s secretly been waiting their whole life to chair‑dance to Motown, and who’s pretending they don’t know every word. Then My Girl floated in for Round Two, and suddenly the entire room was harmonizing like a barbershop quartet with commitment issues.

Round Three took us into Let’s Dance and Shake, which is exactly what happened — the tables shook, the chairs shook, the people shook, and one guy’s dabber shook right off the table like it was trying to escape the rhythm. And then Round Four dropped us into Classic Rock, which always turns the room into a collection of air‑guitar solos and “I swear I saw them live in ’78” stories.

And the wins? Oh, they were plentiful.

  • Jason R. – $10
  • Megan W. – $10
  • Brandon C. – $10
  • Colby T. – $10

And then there was Tabitha, who didn’t just win — she Auto‑Won, courtesy of a perfectly timed photo submission. The camera icon next to her name might as well have been a superhero cape.

AUTOMATIC WIN OPPORTUNITY

If you want to pull a Tabitha and snag a bonus win without even hitting a Funky Bingo, here’s how: upload a photo taken at The Groove on game night, with your Funky Bingo Round Card visible and a dabber in hand, and include this week’s Secret Phrase:
“That wasn’t a very super bowl.”
CLICK HERE! to submit your pic.
And tossing a like or share on Facebook helps keep the show packed and prevents cancellations, which would absolutely suck.

Another Wednesday, another room full of people proving that fun is a renewable resource. See you next week — same Groove, new soundtrack, fresh chaos.
