We kicked things off by throwing it back to the pre-MTV era, where late-70s Billboard anthems ruled the world. The room went to absolute work. The room came out swinging, singing, and eating the fine offerings right out of the gate. We all know how much Jess the angry Librarian LOVES the 70's!

We stripped things down for an acoustic, emotional journey. This is usually where everyone tries—and fails—to hit the high notes together. The momentum didn't slow down for a second. Multi-round achievers started stacking their odds early, with Shannon H, Candace P, Victoria B, and Tim O Thee making their second big appearances on the board.

This wasn’t your average first-name-basis round. We’re talking historical heavy hitters, pop-culture icons, and celebrity shoutouts. It was a rapid-fire lyrical history test, best exemplified by the room collectively shouting and mumbling confidently through Billy Joel’s "We Didn't Start the Fire." Many players like Lisa R pulled off a spectacular double-streak this round alone, y drawing on the Round 2 card for a BONUS ENTRY or only entry that round. Are you looking for the secret art bonus? I extended the round, making the room beg for "just one more song" over and over again until nearly every single soul in the building had achieved bingulation. It was a beautiful, hard-earned frenzy that landed a massive wave of names on the board, including Lord Andrew, Helen the French, Otis, Ugo 6/7, and Erin TX. You remember Erin TX, he's the guy that LOVES R.E.M.! Speaking of REM, On June 14th of 1984, I wore a young lady down over the previous year so much that I got my first kiss from her! (Well, more like she got it from me.) 42 years later, we're still an item... I'm on the discount rack, but whattya gonna do? So in honor of FLAG DAY, draw a flag with a pair of lips on it on your Round 2 Funky Bingo card and you will double your names to the wheel this round or get your name added when it would have otherwise been AWOL! If you don't bingo during Round 2, turn your drawing in when you go upt to grab Round 3's card!
